Three juveniles have been charged with damaging items inside the Historic Breckenridge Hotel and Convention Center, and more juveniles may face charges later this month.
Logan Gentry and William Shane Kennedy have been charged with aggravated arson, felony criminal damage and misdemeanor criminal trespass, while Timothy Lyons has been charged with felony criminal damage and misdemeanor criminal trespass.
Individual ages have not been released, but Assistant County Attorney Meghan Morgan says the children involved are between 11 and 13 years old.
Morgan says the crimes allegedly happened through May. The teenagers allegedly entered the building several times last month, causing up to $5,000 in damage at a time when the building is being renovated as a hotel and convention center after decades as a school.
Kennedy and Lyons have plea-pretrial hearings June 16, while Gentry has a hearing June 9.
The case is still under investigation. Morgan says reports are still being compiled.
