The Emporia State baseball team closed out the regular season Saturday losing to Pittsburg State 9-7.
The Hornets led early 5-0 before Pittsburg State rallied, scoring 2 runs in the 4th, 5 runs in the 6th and 2 more runs in the 8th.
Kade Graff was 3 for 3 with 4 RBI for Emporia State. He hit 2 home runs, a 3 run home run in the 2nd inning and a solo home runs in the 4th inning. Chandler Bloomer and Cooper Minnick also hit home runs for Emporia State.
The Hornets open MIAA tournament Friday at Central Missouri in a best of 3 series.
