The City of Emporia’s Water and Accounting Office’s will be relocating for a brief time starting next week.
The offices will move from their current location inside White Auditorium to Conference Room 1ABC inside the auditorium for 90 days on Wednesday. City Treasurer Janet Harouff tells KVOE News once the renovations are complete, the Water and Accounting departments will return to their previous location and will be joined by the Human Resources Department.
Harouff says the consolidation will provide more efficiency for all three departments.
The project was originally approved back in 2019, however, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Residents needing to visit the Water or Accounting department’s during this time can do so by entering on the west side of the auditorium and turning left once inside. Signage will be posted throughout the building to help guide visitors.
