There has been another modest increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases, both in Lyon County and elsewhere in the KVOE listening area.
Lyon County Public Health announced four new cases Wednesday. The county’s overall total since March 2020 is now 4,248 cases. Active cases dipped from 28 to 23. Deaths remained at 84.
Elsewhere:
Chase County announced five new cases in its weekly update Tuesday. The county’s community total is 194 cases, while the Kansas Department of Health and Environment lists the overall total as 263 cases. There are now five active cases. There have been three deaths.
KDHE says Coffey County now has 729 cases, including 23 deaths. The overall total is up five from a week ago.
KDHE says Greenwood County has 556 cases, stable from last week. It has reported 11 deaths.
Morris County had four new cases, so its overall total is 627 cases. There are three active cases. There have been 22 deaths.
KDHE says Osage County has 1,239 cases, up 10 from a week ago. There have been 25 deaths, the same amount as last week.
And KDHE says Wabaunsee County has 680 cases, up two from last week. It has 13 deaths, the same amount as last week.
