The search for suspects in an alleged child abduction case continues, but the search for the child has ended well.
Authorities say 2-year-old Sebastian Bautista was found safe after an SUV — with him inside — was stolen from Garden City around 5:30 am Wednesday. The AMBER Alert in Bautista’s case has been canceled.
The SUV was found in Finney County. No suspects have been found at this time.
The situation unfolded when Bautista’s mother reportedly put him in the SUV with plans to take him to the babysitter. Instead, after she went briefly into her residence, she came out and saw the SUV driving away with an unknown person inside.

7:15 am Wednesday: Statewide AMBER Alert issued for Garden City toddler
A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for a Garden City boy.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued the alert around 7 am. Garden City Police say the mother of 14-month-old Sebastian Bautista put the toddler in her 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe with plans to take him to the babysitter. Instead, after she went briefly into her residence, she came out and saw the SUV driving away with an unknown person inside.
Bautista is an Hispanic male, 2 feet tall and 40 pounds with notably long hair. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and shorts. The KBI believes Bautista is in imminent danger.
The SUV has the Kansas tag 336 FWK.
