The Emporia State softball team closed out the season with a doubleheader sweep of Northeastern State Saturday.
Emporia State won the 1st game 4-2. Shortstop Abby Ward drove in 2 runs with a home run and sacrifice fly.
Kerrigan Dixon was the winning pitcher.
Emporia State won the 2nd game 2-1. The Lady Hornets scored both runs in the 3rd inning on singles by Gabby Biondo and Kelsey Phillips. Kelsey Phillips was also the winning pitcher.
The Emporia State softball team finishes the season with a 21-23 record and 11-15 in the MIAA in 9th place.
