The Emporia High boys tennis team finished in 8th place at the loaded Emporia High Invitational Tuesday.
Manhattan finished in 1st place, Salina Central was 2nd, Wichita Classical 3rd, and ST. Thomas Aquinas 4th.
The doubles team of Taylor Moorman and Brenden Kienholz finished in 4th place. The doubles team of Dylan Davis and Brock Guion finished in 11th place.
Emporia High Coach Matt Irby said it was still a good day for both doubles teams.
The Spartan tennis team will host a tournament Saturday, their final tune-up before next weeks Centennial League tournament.
