Northeastern State rallied with 4 runs in the 8th inning and outscored the Emporia State baseball team 8-7 Monday afternoon to complete the 3 game sweep of the Hornets.
It was a back and forth game with Emporia State leading 5-4 going to the bottom of the 8th inning.
Emporia State tried to rally scoring 2 runs in the 9th. The tying run was thrown out at home.
The Hornets will be hosting Fort Hays State in a 3 game series beginning Friday.
