Two political newcomers are now seeking positions on different city councils in Lyon County.
Ashley Meyer has filed for Hartford’s City Council Position 4. Jennifer St. Bonnet, the incumbent, has not filed for election at this time.
Meanwhile, Nolan Kehres has filed for Olpe City Council. He joins incumbent Rick Jones on the ballot.
Hartford has City Council Positions 2 and 4 up for election this year. Position 2 incumbent John O’Connor has not filed for election at this time.
Olpe has three City Council positions on the ballot, with incumbents Leslie Farr and Michelle Dedmon not filing for re-election at this time.
The filing deadline for this election cycle is June 1 at noon. City Commission, City Council and mayor positions are on the ballot.
