The Emporia State womens tennis team lost to Nebraska Kearney 5-2 Saturday.
Kearney won all 3 doubles matches to win the doubles point and won 4 singles matches.
For Emporia State Karen Santiago Sanchez won at number 2 singles and Silvana Caceras won at number 4 singles.
The loss eliminates the Lady Hornets from the MIAA tournament. The Emporia State women close out their season when they host Fort Hays State Sunday. Matches begin at 10:30 am at Emporia High School.
