Lyon County deputies are looking for an Emporia man who allegedly left the scene of a minor injury crash near Olpe on Saturday.
Deputy Tera Gifford says the wreck in the 700 block of Kansas Highway 99 happened just before 9:30 am. When deputies responded, they found two passengers with low-end injuries. Both 46-year-old Laurie Warren of Emporia and 35-year-old Jennifer Ziegler of New York declined transport to a hospital.
During the investigation, Warren told deputies the SUV involved in the wreck was northbound on the highway when the driver, later identified as 25-year-old James Frye, left the road for currently unknown reasons. The SUV went back on to the highway but slid into a ditch and rolled onto its top.
Gifford says Frye fled the scene before deputies and rescue crews from Emporia could get to the wreck site. His condition is unknown.
