Area veterans are encouraged to be part of a COVID-19 walk-in vaccination clinic next week.
The Veterans Affairs Eastern Kansas Health Care System will offer Moderna doses at the Emporia American Legion Post 5, 2921 West 12th, from 2:30-6:30 pm Wednesday. The clinic is also available for spouses and caregivers of veterans. It also comes as the VA’s Eastern Kansas area, including Emporia, has administered better than 28,000 shots to veterans.

Veterans do not need to be enrolled for VA Health Care, but all veterans are encouraged to call 785-350-4511 or go online to www.va.gov to start the eligibility and enrollment process.
