The Kansas City Royals walked off with a 9-8 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Wednesday night.
Salvador Perez singled, driving in Nicky Lopez for the winning run.
Jarrod Dyson scored on a bunt by Nicky Lopez to tie the game in the 9th.
Carlos Santana hit a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 7th giving the Royals a 7-6 lead. The Rays scored single runs in the 8th and 9th inning to retake the lead.
Tampa Bay scored 4 runs in the 1st inning. Hunter Dozier hit a 2 run home run in the 2nd. Jorge Soler hit a solo home run in the 4th. Hanser Alberto tripled driving 2 runs in the 7th inning before Carlos Santana’s home run.
The Royals are off Thursday, they begin a 4 game series in Detroit on Friday.
