The Emporia State softball team split a doubleheader with 16th ranked Central Oklahoma Sunday.
Emporia State won the first game 5-4. The Lady Hornets took the lead for good with 3 runs in the 5th inning, highlighted by Roni Rains 2 run home run. Destiny Ojigoh also drove in a run with a double.
Kerrigan Dixon was the winning pitcher going 7 innings giving up the 4 runs on 11 hits.
Central Oklahoma won the 2nd game 8-1. They scored 5 of their runs in the 2nd inning.
The Emporia State softball team next plays at Missouri Southern next Saturday.
