A lot of activities will be available to area families as part of the David Traylor Zoo’s Party for the Planet on Sunday.
Education Coordinator Dehlia Sutton says the event is always connected to Earth Day, which is this upcoming Thursday, and the focus this time is to raise awareness of different fun things families can do to improve the environment.
The event is free to the public and goes from 1-3 pm.
Parking will be tight but hasn’t changed much despite the ongoing renovations, so people can still use the parking slots on the north side of the zoo as well as the parking for the Soden’s Grove baseball field and the All Veterans Memorial across Commercial Street. People will need to use Entrance 2 near the concession stand to get into the zoo.
