Pittsburg State run-ruled the Emporia State baseball team 12-1 Tuesday night.
Pittsburg State scored 3 runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Pitt State added a run in the 3rd, scored 3 more in the 4th, and put the game out of reach with 5 runs in the 5th.
The lone Emporia State run was scored in the 4th inning, Chandler Bloomer scoring on a Sam Chaput ground out.
Coach Seth Wheeler said they have to be better.
The Hornets fall to 11-17 for the season.
The Weekend series with Missouri Western will now be played Saturday with a doubleheader and Sunday with a single game.
