No medical transports were needed following a vehicle accident on Neosho Street in Emporia Tuesday.
Emporia Police and emergency personnel were called to 1106 Neosho just before 2:20 pm for a reported injury accident. According to Emporia Police at the scene, a pickup truck was traveling northbound when an unsecured object in the vehicle became wedged between the brake.
The driver of the pickup then lost control and struck a parked vehicle causing significant damage to the left side front and rear. The pickup then hopped the curb and struck a tree and potted plant in the front yard of the residence at 1106 before coming to a stop.
The driver of the pickup suffered what are bing called minor injuries but declined a trip to the hospital. Nobody was inside the parked vehicle at the time of the accident.
Citations unrelated to the crash were issued, however, no further information is available. Names are not being released.
