A pair of incumbents have filed for re-election to their respective City Councils.
Olpe incumbent Rick Jones filed Monday, while Neosho Rapids incumbent Karla Mendoza has also filed.
For this election cycle, Olpe has the mayor position and three City Council positions up for election, while Neosho Rapids has the mayor position and five City Council positions on the ballot.
City Commission, City Council and mayor positions are on the ballot this election cycle. That includes the Emporia City Commission, where Susan Brinkman is the only incumbent to file for re-election and incumbent Jon Geitz has already announced he is not seeking re-election.
There are still several weeks ahead before the filing deadline, which is noon June 1. The list of positions up for election can be found below.
