Newman Regional Health welcomed the community to its doorstep Saturday for a longstanding tradition with a new format.
In recognition of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital held its 22nd Teddy Bear Clinic as a drive-thru event outside the Medical Arts Building. The big goal of the event is to give kids a sense of health care in general, and Dr. Anna LaSota says it also highlights the importance of regular visits to the doctor.
Kids took home bags of goodies and information, including a Teddy Bear First Aid kit. Leah LaSota explained what was inside:
Kids also got a growth chart, tongue depressor and flashlight to take home.
That first aid kit was in conjunction with a special video to walk kids through different medical visits. Events Coordinator Michelle Margeson:
