A Council Grove man suffered potentially serious injuries after a wreck early Saturday in Herington.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Chance Bender was southbound on US Highway 77 on the north side of Herington when the crash happened shortly after 2:30 am. Bender apparently drifted to the west shoulder and overcorrected, sending the car into a ditch where it overturned.
Bender was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was taken to Salina Regional Hospital for treatment.
