The Emporia State softball team hosts Central Missouri in a doubleheader Friday.
The Lady Hornets have been struggling, they are 2-6 in their last 8 games. Outfielder Brittanie Shepherd says they need to bring back that nothing to lose attitude.
The first pitch for Fridays first game is set for 3 pm at the Trusler Sports Complex. The second game is scheduled to begin at 5 pm. The second game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
For Fridays games and Saturdays games with Lincoln, Emporia State will be wearing teal jerseys and pink socks to help raise awareness of amniotic fluid embolisms, AFE.
They are doing this in memory of former Emporia State Softball player Jacie Stephens-Cochran who passed away last year from AFE after giving birth to her son.
