A Coffey County man was involved in a wreck that led to a hospital trip for a Derby child Friday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Douglas Moore of Gridley was northbound on Interstate 235 in Wichita but made an illegal turn on the highway. His pickup then hit a northbound SUV driven by 36-year-old Annelise Irick of Derby.
Moore and Irick were not hurt. Irick had five children in her SUV, of which 8-year-old Anna Irick went to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for possible injuries.
