The Emporia High softball team opened their season with a doubleheader sweep of Highland Park Friday.
The Lady Spartans won the 1st game 23-0. Gracie Gilpin tossed a no-hitter for the win. Rylea Harris and Kaylee Reimer each drove in 4 runs. Maddyn Stewart hit a home run.
Emporia High won the 2nd game 20-0. Rylea Harris tossed a no-hitter.
Kaylee Reimer drove in 6 runs. Shaylee Ginter and Gracie Gilpin each drove in 3 runs. Gracie Gilpins finished the game going 3 for 3 at the plate with one of those hits a home run.
The Emporia High softball team goes to Junction City Tuesday.
