Hetlinger Developmental Services has received additional support for its Planting Hope fundraising campaign.
Hetlinger Director of Development Alex Mosakowski announced Wednesday the organization has received a $50,000 grant from the William and Aloha Preston Family Trust. The Planting Hope campaign is raising funds for the construction of a new greenhouse at Hetlinger and the development of a new horticultural therapy program.
In a news release, Trustee John Rich says “The trustees of the Preston Family Trust are pleased with the benefits the greenhouse will provide for individuals with developmental disabilities.” He went on to say, “We look forward to the enhanced opportunities for members of the Hetlinger community to develop new skills.”
At last word, construction on the greenhouse is expected to begin in the late spring or early summertime and should be completed by the end of the summer, weather permitting.
