Portions of 30th Ave. will see extensive construction work beginning next week.
The City of Emporia is planning to begin utility and paving construction Monday that will affect portions of 30th Ave. between Crestview and Prairie. The project could potentially last for four months, weather permitting.
Work will lead to closures of through traffic in the vicinity throughout the project’s duration. As such motorists are advised to find alternate routes of travel around the work area until the project’s completion.
