The Emporia State womens and mens track teams are in 2nd place after 5 events of the ESU Relays.
Emporia State had 2 champions on day 1.
The womens distance medley relay team of Makenzie Tucker, Audrey Phelps, Linnea Meier, and Nora Wheatley finished in 1st place.
The mens distance medley relay team of Jared Reinke, Xavier Hall, Brice Helton, and Lucas Shryock also finished in 1st place.
Joseph Brown finished in 2nd place in the 1500 meter run.
Finishing in 3rd place yesterday were Alyssa Conway in the hammer throw with a provisional throw for nationals.

Jenna Ramsey in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
Mathew Maki in the 5000-meter run.
The ESU Relays resume at 11:30 Saturday morning with field events. The track events resume at 12:00p.
