If you were one of the residents who recently received an initial dose of the Pfizer vaccine in Lyon County, Public Health is reminding you to not miss your next appointment.
A recent news release from Public Health states that the county does not typically receive Pfizer vaccinations and as such cannot guarantee when the county will receive an additional shipment. As such, those individuals who have received an initial Pfizer dose that are scheduled for Friday’s upcoming booster clinic are being asked to keep their appointments.
Public Health says if an individual does not keep their appointment they will risk not receiving a second dose due to the uncertainty of future Pfizer shipments.
A primary clinic is taking place Thursday at the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Public Health is planning to administer 600 primary doses of Moderna Vaccine next Friday, Apr. 2.
Scheduling for that clinic opens at 10 am Thursday morning. Residents can self-schedule their appointments by visiting www.publichealth.lyoncounty.org.
