The third candidate for the Emporia State University provost position has been announced.
Dr. George Arasimowicz will be in Emporia for his interview Thursday. Dr. Arasimowicz is the current dean of the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio a position he has held since 2016.
Arasimowicz also leads a public multi-site college within a multi-site land-grant university offering 17-degree programs and housing several federally and state-funded research programs.
Arasimowicz will meet President Allison Garrett, university vice presidents, Faculty Senate executive board and the Provost Council before touring Emporia. He will also be part of an online webinar where he will discuss his plans for the position and take questions from the campus and community.
