The Emporia State volleyball team took Central Missouri to 5 sets before Central won the match Tuesday night.
Central won the first set 25-20. Emporia State won the 2nd set 25-22.
Central would win the 3rd set 25-14.
Emporia State bounced back to win the 4th set 25-20.
In the 5th set Central scored the final 2 points winning 15-13.
Despite the loss Coach Bing Xu said he was proud of the effort.
Emporia State was led by Freshman Megan Stretton who finished with 15 kills.
Riley Bernskoetter finished with 36 assists.
The Emporia State volleyball team is now 2-7 for the spring. They are scheduled to play Washburn and Missouri Western Saturday in Topeka.
