After a year that required a plethora of creativity and innovation, Emporia Arts Center Director Dawn Young is excited for a slight return to normalcy this year.
Young, KVOE’s Newsmaker Two guest Tuesday, says classes for all ages are getting back underway at the Arts Center beginning this week. Social distancing, mask use and frequent sanitation are still in effect.
Nonetheless, Young says it is great to have residents back inside the arts center classrooms.
Art classes through the summer are now available for sign-up on the EAC website.
Not only are art classes back on the calendar at this time, but the 2021 Performing Arts Series is getting set to kick off next week. The first performance in the series will feature the Dallas String Quartet next Friday, Apr. 2 at the Granada Theatre.
Due to COVID-19 occupancy will be limited to 20 percent with EAC members and business partners having the first opportunity to purchase tickets before going on sale to the general public.
