A Missouri man has been arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Osage County Tuesday.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, a Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle at milepost 163 on Interstate 35 at 1:20 pm for an undisclosed traffic violation. During the stop a K9 unit was utilized and detected narcotics in the vehicle.
The driver, 53-year-old Melvin Gray of Leeton MO was arrested on suspicion of numerous charges including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp, illegal possession of prescription drugs, illegal registration, driving while revoked, and no insurance.
Gray was taken to the Osage County Jail. Formal charges are currently pending.
