Two Emporia State athletes have been named MIAA Athletes of the Week.
Taylor Nelson has been named the MIAA/GAC North Division mens tennis player of the week.
The Junior from Christchurch, New Zealand, playing #1 doubles and #2 singles was undefeated in matches against Concordia Unversity and Doane.
Megan McManis is the womens Field Athlete of the week after she finished in 1st place in the pole vault at the Emporia State hosted Spring Invitational. The freshman from Kansas City, Missouri also set a new school record with a vault of 12 feet 7.5 inches in her first-ever outdoor college meet.
