The Emporia State softball team wrapped up their weekend with a loss to number 3 ranked Augustana, 5-3, and a 3-1 loss to Sioux Falls.
Augustana was leading 2-0 when Emma Furnish hit a 2 run home run to tie the game in the 3rd inning. Augustana added single runs in the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings to seal the win.
Against Sioux Falls Emporia State scored a run in the 2nd inning on a wild pitch. That run held up until the top of the 7th when Sioux Falls scored 3 runs to earn the win.
Coach April Rosales said they missed out on too many opportunities.
The Lady Hornets are now 10-8 for the season.
They return to action Friday when they host Nebraska Kearney.
