Governor Laura Kelly has announced deadlines for several tax filings have been extended.
Individual income tax, fiduciary income tax and Homestead or property tax relief fund claim filings are all pushed to May 17, following recent action by the Internal Revenue Service to move this year’s individual income tax filing deadline to May 17. Balances paid on or before May 17 will not be subject to penalties or fees.
Governor Kelly says extending the deadline “gives needed relief for Kansans to fully account for the pandemic’s impact.”
Due dates for individual estimated tax payments remain unchanged.
