A week after abnormally dry conditions covered most of the KVOE listening area, those conditions have been erased.
Abnormally dry conditions had covered virtually all of Lyon and Osage counties and had fully covered Chase, Morris and Wabaunsee counties, with some extension into northwest Greenwood County. However, most of the KVOE listening area got anywhere from 1-2.5 inches of rain this past weekend.
Wednesday’s rain totals came too late to factor into Thursday’s report by the US Drought Monitor, but most area residents had anywhere from 1.5-2.3 inches of rainfall as part of that event.
