The Kansas City Chiefs begin phase 3 of their offseason program Tuesday with the first day of OTAs (optional team activities).
The OTAs are voluntary and scheduled for May 25-27, June 1-3, and June 8-11.
In addition to classroom instruction, the Chiefs can conduct 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills for on-field install sessions. Live contact, however, is prohibited.
The Chiefs will close out the third phase of their offseason workout program with a three-day mandatory minicamp June 15-17.
During phase II the Chiefs had 81 players participate and are expecting that and more to participate in phase III.
Even quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is still recovering from toe surgery, says he will participate.
The offensive line will be drawing a lot of attention because of all the new personnel that has been added.
