More area High School track and field athletes punched their tickets to state Friday.
Osage City had athletes qualify for 13 events. They had 3 regional Champions Reid Crawford in the 800, Dane Whalen won the shot put and Landon Boss won the javelin.
Landon Boss also qualified for the discus and shot put.

Gunnar Fort qualified for the 300 hurdles and high jump. Jace Brenner qualified for the 1600 and 800 meter runs. Nicholas Bailey qualified for the 400-meter dash. Noah Smith qualified for the pole vault. The boys 4×800 and 4×400 relay qualified. Jenna Hastert qualified for the pole vault and Taylin Kirkpatrick qualified for the discus.
Council Grove had athletes qualify for 8 evens with 5 regional champions. Jordyn Picolett won both the 3200 and 1600 meter runs. Lakoddah Downs also won the 3200 and 1600 meter runs. Hayden Bieling won the high jump.
The boys 4×100 relay also qualified for State.
Burlington had athletes qualify for 14 events with 3 regional champions. Ty Anderson won both the 100-meter dash and triple jump.
Thomas Unruh won the pole vault.
Ty Anderson also qualified for the long jump.
Seth Jones qualified for the 3200-meter run. Tyler Kirby qualified for the 300 hurdles. Jayme Wagner qualified for the triple jump. The boys 4×400 relay also qualified. Karlie Whitworth qualified for the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, and 200-meter dash.
Marijane Huff qualified for the 3200 and 1600 meter runs.
Lillyan Gerow qualified for the 3200-meter run.
The girls 4×100 and 4×400 relays also qualified for State.
Mission Valley had athletes qualify for 6 events with 2 regional championships.
Alfonso Rubio won both the 3200 and 1600 meter runs.
Jonathen Grame qualified for the shot put.
Megan Deters qualified for the 100-meter dash. Emma Slade qualified for the discus and the girls 4×100 relay qualified for State.
Hamilton had 2 athletes qualify for 6 events. Kelton Buettner was the regional champion in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, long jump, and triple jump.
Drew Stutesman qualified for the shot put and discus.
The State Track and Field meets begin Thursday with 6 and 5A.
4 and 3A will compete on Friday and 2 and 1A will compete next Saturday. All meets will be held at Wichita States Cesena Stadium.
