Motorcycle safety awareness will be the main focus for riders as they convene for a special event Saturday.
Abate District 12 of Kansas is organizing a special motorcycle awareness event and ride at the Guion’s Showcase parking lot Saturday at 1 pm. Abate member Deb Fuller says the event is meant to promote safety both for individuals on bikes and in cars alike.
The ride will launch from the Guion’s parking lot, pass through Olpe and Lebo and conclude back in Emporia at the Gym Bar.
Prior to the ride, Abate members will be handing out motorcycle awareness signs free of charge. If weather causes riding conditions to be unsafe, Abate members will still be handing out signs in the Guion’s parking lot.
