Area baseball and softball teams hope to wrap up regional tournament play Friday.
The Lebo/Waverly vs Southern Lyon County baseball game at Humboldt is scheduled to resume Friday. The game was going to the 3rd inning when the game was halted. The game is scoreless after the first two innings. The winner will play Colony Crest in the regional championship game.
Lyndon plays Jayhawk Linn in the 2-1A softball regional semi-finals hosted by Mound City with games to be played at Paola.
Thursday Osage City was outscored by Southeast of Saline 8-5 in the Council Grove Regional semi-finals. Hesston won the regional championship game 4-3 over Southeast of Saline.
