This summer will have an abundance of safe, fun and friendly activities for children and families, and you can learn all about them Thursday.
The annual Keep it a Safe Summer event is scheduled to take place Thursday evening at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year’s KISS event had to be canceled, and this year’s event will see some changes in format according to organizer Emily Prouse.
Individuals will enter the Fairgrounds on the south end off US Highway 50 according to Lyon County Undersheriff John Koelsch.
Prouse says there will be multiple lanes for traffic once vehicles are on the Fairgrounds where residents will line up to receive a goody bag and participate in a quick survey for data collection purposes.
Keep it a Safe Summer will begin at 5 pm. The traffic map for Thursday’s event is available below.
