After a moderate decrease Monday, Lyon County’s active coronavirus case total saw a moderate increase Wednesday.
Lyon County Public Health reported four new cases and no recoveries late Wednesday morning. The active case total increased from 14 to 19.
Though only four new cases were reported Wednesday, Lyon County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Director Jennifer Millbern tells KVOE News there was one recent recovery that was prematurely marked and has since been corrected hence the five case increase between reporting periods. The overall total since last March has increased to 4,262 cases.
The death count also increased for the first time in five weeks by one to 85. One case is still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Active hospitalizations remain unchanged at one.
