The Emporia High softball team was outscored by Maize 6-2 in the regional semi-finals at Valley Center Tuesday.
Emporia High struck first scoring 2 runs in the top of the 4th. Gracie Gilpin scored on a Kaylee Thomas double. Thomas would steal home for the 2nd run.
Maize answered with 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th and added 2 more runs in the 5th.
The Lady Spartan softball team finishes their season with an 8-13 record.
