One of three suspects in a shooting and home invasion robbery has accepted a plea agreement in his case.
Kenneth Hopkins, 21, pleaded no contest to conspiracy to commit robbery. Charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary are being dropped. Sentencing is July 7.
Hopkins was initially charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one of aggravated robbery after one count of aggravated robbery for being connected to a shooting near Linn and Whildin as well as a home invasion robbery at 9 South Rural, both in late October 2020.
A co-defendant, Lance Sutton, has his final pretrial hearing at 4 pm Wednesday. He’s facing charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. A third suspect, 24-year-old Marcos Diaz, remains at large.
