A Topeka man was arrested on theft charges in Osage County over the weekend.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, just before 4:40 am Saturday the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible theft in progress at a property located south of Burlingame. During an investigation, a vehicle believed to be involved in the theft was located near 42nd and Burlingame Road.
Osage County authorities responded to the area and, upon further investigation, apprehended 26-year-old Raymond D Roberts II of Topeka. Roberts was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of felony theft and criminal damage to property.
The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office assisted Osage County deputies in the case.
