The Emporia High boys tennis doubles team of Taylor Moorman and Brenden Kienholz will finish in the top 12 at State.
The duo won their first-round match 6-0, 6-1 over Barreno/Perkins from Highland Park and second-round match 6-4,6-3 over Stove/Verdict from Mill Valley.
They were defeated in the quarterfinals by Steven/Steven of Bishop Carroll 6-2, 6-4. They lost to Murrell/Rogers of Maize 9-3 in their 1st consolation match.
They can finish as high as 9th with 2 wins Saturday.
