The USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education approved a revised crisis plan for the district during its recent meeting Wednesday evening.
According to Superintendent Bob Blair the revisions will not see any major changes to the plan. He says the revisions simply make it more “detailed” and “user friendly.”
Blair says constant improvement in crisis planning was a norm for him at his previous district and he plans to continue the regular update efforts with 251’s plan in the years to come.
In other business, Blair delivered the monthly district budget report which showed that through the month of April the district had spent $681,000 less than at this same time last year. Blair also reported that revenues were up slightly for the district by $44,000 with cash balances down slightly around $19,000 from last year which Blair says is somewhat healthy at this time of the year.
The district will be holding graduation next weekend on Saturday, May 22nd at 7 pm inside Northern Heights High School. All students will be allowed eight tickets for family members to attend. Social distancing and mask use will be in effect during that time according to Blair.
