Emporia Police continue an investigation into an injury hit-and-run from earlier this week.
Police Sgt. Lisa Hayes says officers have identified the vehicle allegedly involved in Tuesday’s incident as a black Ford SUV, either an Edge or an Escape, as indicated from evidence left at the scene. The SUV allegedly hit 38-year-old Zachary Holub in the 700 block of West Sixth. Holub suffered broken ribs but declined a hospital treatment via ambulance afterward.
The SUV, meanwhile, will likely not have a passenger-side mirror as a result of the incident.
