Usage of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine will be expanding soon in Kansas.
Following full authorization of the drug for children as young as age 12 by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced the Pfizer vaccine will be available to the expanded eligibility group.
Pfizer is the only vaccine in the country that is authorized for vaccinating people as young as 12. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson versions are limited to people ages 18 and up.
