The Kansas City Royals outscored the Tampa Bay Rays 2-1 Tuesday night snapping the Rays 11 game winning streak.
Carlos Santana hit a solo home run in the 4th inning to tie the game at 1. Salvador Perez drove in the go-ahead run in the 6th inning.
Adalberto Mondesi had 2 doubles in his first game back.
Mondesi is the first player in Royals history to record four straight games with multiple extra-base hits and the first in the Majors to do so since 2018.
Brad Keller was the winning pitcher, going 7 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts.
The Royals and Rays play again Wednesday night. Mike Minor will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 6:10p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
With the win, the Royals are back to 500 with a 23-23 record.
