Lyon County is going into the Memorial Day weekend with a slight increase in new and active coronavirus cases.
Friday’s report includes five new cases and an increase in active cases from 16 to 20. Deaths remain steady at 85, but there are now two deaths awaiting final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment as opposed to one Wednesday.
All told, there have been 4,271 cases since late March 2020. With Memorial Day taking place Monday, Lyon County’s next update will be announced Wednesday.
